Day 64 of 125, I am now half the way to the triathlon and I have a lot more to accomplish. I am getting stronger and stronger with my performance, but there is still a lot of work to do.
This morning I woke up more tired than I wanted. Didn't sleep the best last night as I was cramping a little bit and that bothered my sleep, but I still went to the gym. Made my morning coffee w/ MTC oil and grass fed butter and went training.
At the gym I did a 15 min treadmill warm up before going swimming:
- 1 min: 3.5 speed / 0 incline
- 1 min: 4 speed / 0 incline
- 1 min: 8 speed / 0 incline
- 1 min: 4 speed / 0 incline
- 1 min: 8.1 speed / 0 incline
- 1 min: 4 speed / 0 incline
- 1 min: 8.2 speed / 0 incline
- 1 min: 4 speed / 0 incline
- 1 min: 8.5 speed / 0 incline
- 1 min: 4 speed / 0 incline
- 1 min: 4 speed / 8 incline
- 2 min: 4 speed / 8 incline holding 15 lbs plates each hand
- 1 min: 4 speed / 8 incline
- 1 min: 3.5 speed / 0 incline
I swam for 18 min (656 yds) mixing one way freestyle stroke and one way breaststroke. Meditated for 5 min in the sauna.
For breakfast was a protein smoothie and did not bike to work as I lost track of time completely... ops!
Lunch was a funky good combo:
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 1/4 small onion (diced or sliced)
- 1 grass fed hot dog
- 1 medium carrot (shredded)
- 1/2 squash (shredded)
- salt & pepper & red pepper flakes
- 1/4 avocado (diced)
- handful of spinach (chopped)
- 1 tbsp ranch dressing
---
Directions: heat up a medium saute pan in medium high heat, add the oil and the onions and let it cook for 2-3 min, add the hot dog (you can cut them as you want, I sliced it this time) and saute for around 3 min or till gets golden, add the carrots and cook it for another 2 min and for last the squash for another 2 min. Season the food for your taste. Before I ate at work, I heat it up and added the avocado, the spinach and ranch dressing right before I ate it.
Lunch kept me full all afternoon. Score!
Driving back at home I was debating if I should go run to the beach and back or go to the beach and do another run in the sand. As soon as I got out of the car and walk home I felt the warmth of the sun and decided to put my bikini on and go for a beach run and also work on my tan. Win win.
The weather was perfect for a beach run: sunny and with a little breeze to cool it off. One thing I forgot was that my feet was a little sensitive in the bottom after yesterday's run. In the end of my run yesterday the sand was a bit warm and got my feet a little sore... oh well... cry me a river, right? That didn't stop me. I managed to run for 3.6 miles and I felt great.
Workout log:
- 5.7 mile run (2.1 miles in the treadmill in the am / 3.6 miles in the sand)
- 656 yds swim
