Snap... snap... when I said that I would be crashing hard last night, I was not playing. Passed out cold at 8:30 pm and it was glorious... Slept through the whole night and this morning I was feeling fresh as new and Thank God my neck woke up much better that I was able to head to the gym for my weight training with no problem... it is a little sore still, but not even close how it was yesterday and for sure not to be used as an excuse to not work out.
Headed to the gym and as soon as I got there, I go to put my headphones... and the phone decided to not accept the plug in. I can not even remember the last time I went to the gym and didn't have music blasting in my ears. It was a different experience as I use music to motivate me when I am still half at sleep at 5 am, just saying... Anyways, sometimes you just have to work with what you have and I did a pretty good job going for it with no music. Was funny to pay attention on my thoughts during the work out as usually I don't pay attention to it and let the music take my thoughts away, lol! Did a little funny video of a part of my work out, it is time-lapse so it look hilarious:
After some little weight training, did my 60 squats of the day (tomorrow is rest day!), 15 minutes on abs and a 5 min walk to cool down.
The bike ride today was soooo chill. There was a little mist in the air making it cool and pleasant. Oh... today I found out that my backpack usually weight 15 lbs. Need to ways push a little harder... right?!
Breakfast was a different version of what cooked yesterday. Today did my scrambled eggs with coconut oil, onions, yellow mini sweet peppers, zucchini, cabbage & broccoli, added cooked beets, avocado & hot sauce right before I ate it, a tangerine and blended coffee (coffee, grass fed butter & collagen)... hungry much?
Had some nuts for snack after a couple hours...
Lunch was fast and nutritious smoothie: coconut milk, protein power (MediClear Plus), peanut butter, coconut oil, pinch of salt, frozen berries & bananas.
Was able to get some stuff during lunch and the smoothie hit the spot.
I usually have apple & peanut butter for a snack in the afternoon. I am a peanut butter lover. I like to eat it by the spoon and nothing else on it, and also like a weird ass mix: toast, peanut butter, cottage cheese and honey. Yep, I know! Sounds pretty darn weird, but it is delicious... If you try it, let me know if you liked it or not. Majority of friends and families that I got them into it, actually liked it.
After work biked straight to the beach to meet up some friends and do a work out at the beach. We did 10 min running in the sand for a warm up, 100 squats, 50 leg raises, 50 push up, 50 australian pull-ups, 50 pull-ups (I am still using resistance bands to build up my upper body strength), duck walk (hate them!), 3 min plank (1 min elbow, 30 sec each side, 1 min elbow), 50 flutter kicks, 50 scissor kicks & 50 russian twist. Freaking amazing and the day was gorgeous.
Nope... that's not me. I mean, not yet. Working on getting strong enough to do some crazy things like this, lol! This is Jaime, a great friend that helps me a lot with my training. He has this insane body control that things like the picture is nothing for him... I want to be like him when I grow up, lol!
I will be sore tomorrow. But tomorrow is a little jog and swim day so should be smooth. Well... that's what I hope for.
Dinner was a split pea soup with bacon.
Nite... Nite!
