5 big onion, half-moon sliced
4 tbsp butter
1 tbsp flour
4 cups of beef brodo (or any stock, or broth)
Salt & pepper to taste
Parmesan cheese to top it off (if desired)
- Heat up a large pan in medium heat, melt the butter and add the onions. Caramelize the onions in low heat, stirring constantly, until golden brown and super translucent, about 15 min.
- Shift the flour to the pan, stirring along so it doesn’t clump, add the brodo, still in low heat for an extra 10 minutes, to incorporate all the ingredients.
- Serve and sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top. You can even broil for a few minutes, for an extra touch.
